Ulster Unionist Economy spokesperson Mike Nesbitt MLA has welcomed clarity on the dates of the long-awaited High Street Voucher Scheme.

Mike Nesbitt said:

“I welcome the fact that the High Street Voucher Scheme will finally come on-stream on the 27 September with the first cards issued on 4 October and due to be spent by 30 November.

“This scheme is intended to provide a much-needed boost to local traders, especially on our high streets, and I urge the public to support local businesses once they receive their £100 voucher.  

“I plan to use my voucher to purchase non-perishable items and donate them to a local food bank in my constituency and my fellow Ulster Unionist MLAs have agreed to support charitable organisations in their constituencies.”
