Ulster Unionist Party Leader Mike Nesbitt MLA has congratulated the local recipients listed in this year’s New Year Honours list.

Speaking as the list was made public, Mike Nesbitt said.

“It is heartening to see so many names from across Northern Ireland being recognised for such a wide range of contributions, in professional and voluntary capacities and in many cases, in both, affirming so many give up of their spare time as well as working professionally for our communal benefit.

“As Health Minister, I offer a particular congratulations to those in health and social care, including Deidre Anne Webb for her continued commitment to the health and wellbeing of Women, Children and Families.

“These awards help bind us together as the unrivalled United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland that we all cherish.”
