About Jon Burrows MLA
Jon Burrows is Leader of the Ulster Unionist Party and MLA for North Antrim. He joined the Northern Ireland Assembly in August 2025 and became party leader in January 2026.
Originally from Bangor, he attended Bangor Grammar School and studied Law and Government at Ulster University. He also holds postgraduate degrees in Criminal Justice and Law.
Before entering politics, Jon served for 22 years as a police officer, including senior roles in the Police Service of Northern Ireland. He retired from policing in 2021.
