Ulster Unionist Party Leader Jon Burrows MLA and Ulster Unionist Braid Councillor Alan Barr commented on the Broughshane pipe bomb attack saying:

"Last night's pipe bomb attack in Broughshane was a reprehensible act. Broughshane is a quiet, welcoming village, and its people want nothing to do with such criminality.

"The device, placed beneath a living room window, endangered not only those inside the property but also any members of the public who may have been passing by.

"We condemn this attack in the strongest possible terms, and we urge anyone with information to come forward to the PSNI."
