The Ulster Unionist Party Leader and Justice spokesperson, Doug Beattie MC MLA, has welcomed the news that Northern Ireland will be included in the Post Office (Horizon System) Offences Bill.

Mr Beattie said, “The huge injustice perpetrated on Post Office Sub Postmasters between 1999 and 2015 only came to the fore because they refused to lie down and accept the establishment's misinformation and dishonesty. 

“They now deserve to be exonerated of any wrongdoing and compensated for the years of hurt and pain they suffered which included isolation from the communities they lived in.”
